Floor Polish Remover Stripper

Step 1 Prepare the Floor Before Polishing

Periodically floor polishes build up layer upon layer. Buffing Polished floors makes the floor polish harder & harder. Too many layers of polish & ingrained dirt need to be removed. & the process started again. Its a messy job & requires some time, polish remover &  basic kit to get rid of the old mess.

Open the windows to ventilate & increase drying times.

Always follow the instructions which will dilute the polish remover. Mop onto the floor and allow some contact time. Re Apply if necessary & do not let it dry out. Agitate with a deck scrubbing brush. Use a floor squeege to draw the old polish mess to a point were the slurry can be picked up & removed using a dustpan & bucket or a wet vac machine. If your not happy repeat the process although this is not normally necessary if you were thorough first time around.

Although its not necessary to rinse clean with some floor polish removers. Old school thinking will however mop & rinse the floor with clean water & a tiny, tiny splash of washing up liquid. This to make it clean & neutralise any chemical remaining. Again use the floor squeegee to leave the floor quickly clean & dry. Floor Polishes dont like old chemicals.

Once satisfied then re-apply two coats of Floor Polish. One going North to South & the other East to West. Allow 10 minutes between coats.
